Biography of the Writers

Moyin
(He/Him) is an ex Student Union President at Chichester University. He started this blog. He has a passion to facilitate the learning of those around him. He is
the son of a teacher and a lawyer, sadly both have passed away, but the lesson they taught me will also stay with me. These lessons are about trying not only to educate others but to listen to others.

Jamel (He/him) is an ex Student Union Vice President at Chichester University. Jamel bring with him lived experiences as well as good knowledge around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Jamel has delivered EDI training to students across the university and has recently been delivering to external groups.

Louise Hall (She/Her) is a artist, educator and ex student union president. She graduated with a first class honours from Arts University Bournemouth in fine art, since then she has been working in education with a drive to help solve educational inequalities.

Artie is a queer transgender man who uses he/him pronouns. He studied at the University of Chichester and graduated with a 2:1 in Politics, Philosophy and Ethics. Since then he has been working closely with local charities with a particular interest in sustainability and creating an inclusive environment in the workplace. He will soon be doing a Masters Degree in PR and Digital Communications at Salford University. He aims to use his social media platforms to help fight for social justice.

Jack (He/Him) is a Chinese adoptee and a recent graduate from the University of Chichester. He studied Esports and is the former Ethnic Minorities Officer of Chichester Student’s Union. Since then he has been supporting both the Chinese adoptee and East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) community by raising awareness of their struggles and achievements. He hopes to use this platform to give a voice to the often quiet ESEA community so that we learn about and support each other.

Ken Lupata, also known as Claudy Ken (He/him), an artist and former student at Chichester Uni. Just finished his Masters. He found love with music and used it as a way to educate people on problems going on in our world that we might not know. Through this, he has been able to connect with charities and raise money, most recently for a song for Black Lives Matter. His aim is to encourage difficult conversations to be had amongst friends, families and within working environments. To express that we all have our own dividing opinions and understand that our differences make us who we are.

"Théo (He/Him) is a Franco-British writer and activist with Spastic Cerebral Palsy. He is a current History & Politics student at the University of Chichester. He is serving as Sustainability Officer and President for the University’s Student Union and Environmental Society, respectively. His writing interests include: Physical Disability, Environmentalism, Political History and Pro-Europeanism. With regard to his activism, he has campaigned for Extinction Rebellion and Green New Deal Rising. His personal aim with his writing is to educate, start conversations and gain greater acknowledgement for physical disability, the planet and political history."

Lucy (She/Her) is a mother of two and a mature psychology student at the University of Chichester. With particular interests in social and systemic disparities, such and racial, gender and educational inequalities, Lucy is eager to use her knowledge and strong sense of justice upon graduating.

Ray Munn (He/Him) is a queer, transgender and disabled man who is graduating in Politics and Contemporary History from the University of Chichester later this year. Originally from Dorset and having lived internationally as a child, Ray is living with autism spectrum disorder and challenging health issues which have shaped his adult life, and is a survivor of bereavement through suicide for more than seven years. He has been an open voice in the transgender community throughout his time at University, including speaking publicly on the University of Chichester ‘Be You’ podcast about his experiences as a transgender student: he was also a member of the University’s Men’s Hockey team and was one of very few to compete as a transgender student in BUCS. Ray’s interests include erasure and discrimination in history; access to mental health care and de-stigmatising mental health; hidden disability awareness and inclusion; and living as a young queer transgender person in the modern world and it’s associated challenges.
